There is a lot about city/state/government politics that I do not fully understand. But I think even an elementary school student can read this chalkboard. I am so ashamed of how “OUR” representatives have directly NOT represented US. Instead the will of citizens is not top priority. It is just a slap in the face to our citizens who have lived in & loved Suffolk. I am an honest, respectful person & naively expect honesty & respect to be returned to me. Especially by my city officials. My heart is heavy to see my loyalty to this city is just noise to the administrations ears. I’m an older citizen so at least I probably won’t live to see this fiasco to fruition, but I will have to live thru the construction/distruction/mismanagement. Have my quite, peaceful, tranquil life disrupted as well as know the allegiance I paid was for naught. My grandchildren & beyond will never get to know the joy of Suffolk being our little slice of heaven. I am certainly not against growth. I know things have to grow or become stagnate, but with growth needs to come forethought & planning. Looking at big picture, not just immediate satisfaction.
